How to set up your Bans store pages

How to set up a main store page..
1) Click create store page
2) Start with section 3 page info “page Location” since this is a main page this will stay the way it is.
3) “link name” this is what you will see on your store menu bar. For our example if you want the menu bar to say Widget that is what you will type in for the “link Name”.
4) “Page URL” this is what will be used for your website address. So for our example we put in widget our web site address will look like this http://ourdomain.com/widget Make sure you don’t use any special characters in this area. That means !@#$%^&*() like those. Also if you have 2 words for the URL such as red widget you can either do red-widget or redwidget but don’t put it in there with just a space. This will also cause an error.
5) Click “save and continue editing” Your meta tags in section one will be automatically filled in with whatever you have in the global meta tags from the setup tab. Here you can take the time to add to these tags and make them unique for the page.
6) Section 4 Product Info: Products per page, once again shoot for no more than 12. See above for reason. Now if you want to pull items that don’t have their own category number you will need to use the “Search Query” feature. Once you know the trick to this feature I would suggest using it for all your stores this way if they do category changes you don’t have to worry about it. Here is how the search works. If you want to pull widgets you can just type that into the box. Now if you want to pull red widgets you can’t just type red widget into the box because it will pull any listing that has the word red in it and any listing that has the word widget in it. So the proper way to get it to search for the whole phrase red widget, you will need to use parenthesis. So it would look like this (red widget). If you want to add other items into this search you can go like this, (red widget, blue widget, green widget). Now let us say you want to pull all colored widgets but yellow. Very easy you will use (widget)-(yellow).
7) Click SAVE…You can set up the other choices per your style.

Setting up a sub-category store page:
8) Click create store page
9) Start with section 3 page info “page Location” Here you will now want to change this to point to the category you want. For example say widgets was our main category you will want this to point to that now.
10) “link name” same as above but obviously this will be a sub category so lets use red as our link name. Or it can be a model number you use here.
