Google Sandbox Definition

The Google sandbox is a concept that has been coined to describe the effect that new websites have in Google’s search results.
New websites do not behave in the same way in Google’s search results as older, more established websites. It seems that Google is less inclined to rank newer websites until they have proven themselves and gone through a probationary period. This seems to be a period of 90 to 120 days.
This is not to say that everything you do is pointless within this time, it just means that your efforts will probably be put on hold until this period has passed.
The Google sandbox could be used by Google for many things other than just new websites. Google could also use this for websites that it believes are not playing fair or that have suddenly gained large numbers of inward links.
If you have a new website you should make your changes and optimize your website gradually. This includes building links to your website. You should try to build links slowly over time instead of adding a hundred in one sitting. This sudden spike of inward links could cause you problems. It would look unnatural, as links are not normally achieved this fast.
There are several ways you can deal with the Google sandbox and its effects. including:
- Use an existing older domain name instead of buying a new one.
- Build links slowly over time
- Optimize your website slowly
- In the early days, concentrate on other search engines
- Utilize pay per click (PPC) for your initial placement
The Google sandbox effect is not a recognized algorithm by Google, it is just a phrase to describe the effect often seen with new websites that have only recently been found by Google.

How to Get Backlinks

Some people have trouble finding and getting links to their site. You could waste a lot of time submitting to free low-quality directories when with this tip here could do 100 times more for SERP ranking and actually getting visitors to your store.
Get links where your potential customers are.
Find blogs with posts/stories that has to do with your niche.
Comment on them with related info on the subject of the post, not a generic reply.
In the name box try not to spam it with keywords but make a name that fits (The Pool Guy if your niche is pool related).
Put your URL in the URL box (that makes a link of your name to your site)
Now when your potential customers visit that blog and read the post and they will read the comments and think hmm let me check out the Pool Guys site and bam if your site is engaging enough they will stay around for a little while.
TIP
Deep linking is the process of getting links to individual pages of your site. This helps to get the page ranked and getting some much needed love for your site. If you have a store page or article related to the blog post, put that link in the URL section of the comment. BAM! Instant deep link and it will keep the potential customer from having to dig through your site to find a page they would be interested in.
ezPing Mod Released.
Today is an exciting day in the StartANiche world. Last night I finally finished the ping tool. What the ping tool does is it notifies or ‘pings’ pingomatic.com (a very large and popular site for pings) of new content/articles/posts/etc.
A Myth Dispelled
Pinging is what makes blogs, such as wordpress, so easily indexed. You have probably heard a lot of people say, “Google loves Wordpress”. Well, google loves new content and pinging makes it easy for google to find it. Wordpress automatically does this when a post is published and that is why it gets indexed so fast.
Not For Just Blogs AnyMore!
We have created a pinger to work with BANS so you can easily ‘ping’ pingomatic (which pings many sites) with a click of the mouse. You will now notice a PING link in your Content Pages listings next to the View link of your articles. Click the link when you add an article to your site and a new window will appear pinging pingomatic.
Caution!
I have it setup to hide the PING link after you have pinged it to keep the accidental pings at bay. You don’t want to ping to much because you might get labeled a spammer by pingomatic and they wont accept anymore pings. So please use this tool wisely and on quality content.
